Mixed mode domain trusts

By ballony ·
I have recently upgraded my NT4 domain to Win2K. When I try to create a trust with another mixed mode domain in the tree, the trust fails as the other domain does not have an account for the domain controller that I am creating the trust on.

I would be grateful for any comments

I am ussuming that you are running AD, and that you have got accounts in each domain for the domain controllers of each domain ?
If not, you need to create tham, and then try the trust relationship again.

Thanks for the reply. I have found out what the problem was. The DNS zone hosted on my DC's was not delegated to them, as a result they could not be contacted. After I had the zone delagated the other DC's could contact them
