Moving OWA out of Default Site

By k.zitko ·
I'm trying to move OWA out of my default website. I've recreated the virtual directories and moved 'exchfilt' to the new site. When I try to access OWA at 'http://my_new_server/exchange', I am promted for the login properly, but after I login I see a directory tree view instead of the OWA webpage interface. Anybody know why I'm not calling up the webpage? Can I change the dependency of the Exchange HTTP server so that I can stop the default site without stopping the exchange HTTP server? Are these two things related? Thanks.

Moving OWA out of Default Site

Rather tan moving Outlook Web access from default web site where it should be you need to configure the redirection from properties of the OWA within default web site. Goto OWA, properties then direction and point OWA to redirected server. Presumably another server running IIS.

Moving OWA out of Default Site

Let me clarify. I am using Host Header Names to host multiple websites from one IIS Server with one public IP address. I have a site "http://corp.my_domain.com". I want to access OWA at "http://corp.my_domain.com/exchange" instead of at the default site address. How do I set this up? I'm working with Exchange 2000, Windows 2000 Server and IIS 5.0.
