MS Access 2007 – Can I Edit Events Template?

I am a novice with Access and want to know if there is a way to edit a MS Template. The Events Template has fields titled Start Time and End Time, but the only data entry allowed is a Date. This makes no sense. Typically an event would have an event date, a start time and an end time. I have tried to edit the fields labeled as time to actually allow a time to be entered, but it will not change. Is there anyway to do this? The piece of the template that is attractive is the views by day and week. Is there a way to copy this to a database I create?

Access database parts (objects) can be copied into other databases. The term is Import. Once imported, the template can be modified for your use. Date, time, and date/time fields are all the same. You control what you see with the format. When in a format property for a date/time field, press F1 for the help file for custom format codes. hh:nn AMPM will show the time. mm/dd/yy will show the date. mm/dd/yy hh:nn AMPM will show date and time.

I’ve tried that. I changed the format to a time format hh:mmAMPM and it still only allows a date to be entered. I tried changing the name of the field to Event date and it won’t allow the change.
