MS Access to Quickbooks

By bubnweez ·
Our company is currently migrating to Quickbooks Premier Contractor Edition 2007, and I would like to continue using our MS Access database that we use to dispatch employees to service calls. Is there anything out there that would allow the Access database to merge or export into Quickbooks?

IIF file for data exchange with QuickBooks

by sgt_shultz In reply to MS Access to Quickbooks

It has been a few years so this info could be dated but you used to be able to exchange data via a text file format called 'iif'. It was documented on the Quickbooks website. I believe it also will 'talk' to Excel. See if you can get your company to pay to have you become a QuickBooks Advisor. You just pay money, about $300 last time I checked. Then you can get tech support calls.

You need to instal the QODBC driver that will allow you to create a DSN, then you can create linked table in Access from QuickBooks. Check out this site; http://www.scmbusinesssolutions.com/QuickBooks.html
