MS-Outlook

By Heckel ·
I have a problem with an IBM Thinkpad 600.
My Problem is when I try to open mail
attachments from mail in a mailbox on the Exchange Server I get an hour glass and I have to(ctrl-alt-del)in order to get outlook off the screen. If I open mail attachments that are local on the Laptop I get no problems.
Yet using another computer every thing works
fine.I reformated the Hard Drive,reinstall
the OS & Outlook with no improvement.
I tried Outlook 97,98,2000
It only happens with this particular Laptop,
96 meg of ram it has.

Any Ideas
Thanks Rob.

Is this a dial up or LAN connection to the network? Does it happen if you immediately get into an mail attachment after you log on to the network? Can you browse the network before you get into e-mail?

Rob,

Are you able to send messages (with or without attachments). Do you know if you are receiving mail (new messages are showing up).

Can you work with this account on other machines?

Are you running NT or 9x.

I can send mail on other computers using the same account,it is not a dialup,it's a local
LAN,Thinkpad OS was 98,restore CD was used and now the system has the original software
OS-95 and I'm getting the same problem.
I can read mail everything works ok mail
attachments are the "only" problem.

Thanks
Rob..

I find that a great part of the information I have was acquired by looking up something and finding something else on the way.
