MS.ACCESS & info retrieval from reports

Hello,
I have a report that is being generated inside Ms. Access and usually it contains around 200 pages...on Each page there is a seperate section found, for example information about a specific product. I want to be able to create a second report which will report the product name and the page it can be found on in my 1st report the one that contains 200 pages.

Any solutions?

Create a table (tblIndex) with two fields, ProductName and PageNumber

When you open the report, do a Docmd.RunSQL "Delete * from tblIndex"

In the Detail_Format() (or whatever header level the product name changes) write a record to the table.

Create a second report on tblIndex

Thanks lexacorp!! Your idea would be on right track. I found the following in details on MS site

For those interested, I found a solution and/or workaround to this problem of creating a "Table of Contents" page to my report. You can find the details on Microsoft support page.

problems opening: choose support for Access 2000 and search for "table of contents".

Solution is good enough since it does what I want. Make sure you set the library references to "Ms. 3.1 ADO" while in the code section.
