MX Records

By mmbc_voltron ·
I created a MX record at the hosting site.
mail.mydomain.com and gave them my static IP.
I opened up port 25 on the router and forwarded it to the servers ip.
I have created the SMTP connector.
What MX record do i need to have on my server?
mail.mydomain.com?
or my local domain? server.local

MX Record assignment

by cybercowboy In reply to MX Records

With the MX record of your postoffice pointing to your static IP, you should only have to set up a receipient policy that accepts the incoming messages for the specified domain name. I am assuming your using MS Exchange.
