my Dell notebook 10in stops loading XP Pro with WDFLDR.sys then the blue

I tried to fix windows by using the install disk, It apparently doesn't recognize the hard drive. It also stops when I tried to use the safe mode. How can I retrieve or revive my operating system? Is there a bootable cd with utilities to rebuild the boot

The Model Number of the NB would be helpful here

After all if you have the Rescue/Recovery Disc supplied by Dell it has to work. Of course if it's not for this Model then it's not likely to work.

However the Ultimate Boot CD may be helpful here though I don

It's a dell inspiron 1012 - I loaded the XP Pro it came with Home edition

Well there is your problem. the XP Pro you used doesn't have the SATA Driver Slipstreamed to the Install Disc. You can make a Slipstreamed Install Disc with nLite available free here

remember to remove the space from between nliteos and the .com for a working URL and to get the SATA Driver from the Dell Web Site.

Thank you for your help. I found a dell disk that recognized the hard drive.
