Netgear routers talking together over wireless?

I have currently got a standard wireless network thats connected to the internet via a cable modem, all working fine.

Just bought an xbox360 and would like to get it working over xbox live. Trouble is the xbox is a floor away from the router so I cant hard wire it. I dont really want to spend ?60(!?!?) on a wireless adapter for the xbox and was curious to know if its possible to get it working with another router.
I’ve borrowed a netgear DG834G from someone but am unsure how to configure the 2 routers up.
Is it possible to bridge them at all?

  Well, one thing you can do is move your t.v. downstairs next to the router. Another is to just go buy the adapter, I did.
