With client32 3.2 or 4.7 (for NT) and later, messaging can be turned off or set to receive from server only. This is set in client32 - properties - advanced settings - broadcast mode.

Some broadcast messages from server contain useful information, so completely blocking it is not good idea. To prevent "station locking" by incoming messages I suggest set "message timeout" parameter (Novell NetWare Client properties - Advanced settings) to value > 0. For example, to remove message from screen after 5 seconds, set message timeout=91.

With best regards,
Vlad.

I put this line in my login script #send /a=n. This will turn off all broadcast messages to everyone. Hope this helps.
