NetWare 5.0 includes virtual memory support. You can view or set the configuration from the console with the SWAP command.

The SWAP function in NW5 should be perceived to be a fail-safe function, not a functional feature. It will slow down the server dramatically when implemented - better than an abend, but this should still be a wake-up call to upgrade the server RAM.

I don't understand why you would want one. To implement a ramdisk would require taking memory away from the Netware cache, and add another level
of software to go through. The Netware cache is a lot faster than a ramdisk is going to be. Unless, of course, you mean a solid-state disk like, for instance,
a Quantum Rushmore (see http://www.quantum.com/products/ssd/ssd.htm)
which may be RAM, but as far as Netware is concerned is just a SCSI disk.
