How do one network a usb dsl modem?

Connect your computers via an ethernet connection using TCP/IP and install a sharing program (like ICS or sygate)

get a dsl/modem router . cable modems and dsl modems can now the shared using router that can be purchaed at any major computer store. you can hit the internet and stil provide a network to client.

because the modem is usb and not rj45(ethernet) you can't use an router/gateway ( this is the best way) you can setup the main machine as a gateway or use windows ics (internet connection sharing). the disadvantage of this is the "gateway" machine needs to be on all the time for any other machines to access the internet. dslreports.com give basic examples on how to do this.

check out practicallynetworked.com there is a router which they have information on that is able to connect to your usb dsl modem
