Network boot disk

By zlitocook ·
I need to make a network boot disk with multi, nic cards. Their are alot of sites to do this with tcp/ip but non with dhcp. I have alot of computers with pci-nics that will not boot to the network. I need a generic boot disk that I can add the NIC driver to, so it can connect to a DHCP network to load the new O/S. And it needs to fit on a floppy disk.

1) If you could install norton ghost corporate edition, you'll get a tool to create this bootdisks with your NIC driver...

2) if you don't have Norton Ghost, try this page, it creates a bootdisk with dhcp and is customizable...

Power Quest Drive Image Pro has a wizard to create network boot disks, the wizard will also allow you to add any NIC, DHCP. You can download an evaluation copy at thier web site (it expires after 30 days but the only thing that doesn't work is the program itself but the boot disk will still work).

This link, http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/network/
will take you to a site that provides a very nice free boot disk. About half way down the page you will find the link to their download or you can go to http://www.nu2.nu/nu2files/bfd107.zip. Once you have downloaded the bfd file all you have to do is insert a blank floppy in to your PC and run the file. I use this boot disk on our company boxes. It allows DHCP or static IPs. The web site has just about every NIC driver that you can think of.
