No Icons Help

By sgonzales ·
I rebooted my NT server and no icons appeared. i didn`t add or delete anything just rebooted after a lockup. I didn`t see anything in the logs about any critical events that took place. Just no start menu and no icons. I tried to do a repair but thent says there are no drive I think this is due to the scsi backplane.
But the funny thing it lets you log in and all the drives are visible thru server manager and it does come up in netwok neighborhood, and all the applications running on the server seem to be running fine out on the network.
Please Help
thanks.

I probably won't have the complete answer for you, but it sounds just like a corrupt profile. Try and have a look in the \winnt\profiles filder and see if there is an account that ens with .000 or something like that.

If it is so, you wil hae to decide to repair or to remove the corrupt profile.

I'm sorry I don't have much experience with SCSI, so someone else probably better can take that part.

Good luck.
