No login screen

By Abrar Hazarika ·
In our network running on NT and 98 (clients) one laptop does not show the network logon screen. It starts and directly shows to desktop. For entering the network the user logs off from start/logoff and gives his network login+password, and then it works OK. After rebooting the same problem is repeated. I have set the Primary Network Logon at Client for Microsoft Networks.

Any ideas?

Do you have the Microsoft Family Network client installed ? This could be the problem.

Registry Entry

by Lee_Smith In reply to No login screen

There is a registry entry for autologon that you need to change. Microsoft's knowledgebase is presently not working so I can't give you the exact key but if you go to www.microsoft.com and choose search knowledgebase from the support menu you will find the answer.
