no start

Good Morning Everyone
i have just installed a asus p4se motherboard with a intel 1.7 gig cpu and a sparkle 5300 series agp 4x card which is a nvidia tnt2 m64
when i booted it up i configured the bios to read cpu saved it It booted up alright went through post and and went into win98 boot up I then typed in fdisk to redo hard drive pressed enter and then screen went blank I soft booted it up again and still nothing could this be a cpu problem video card prob or motherboard prob being that the video card and motherboard are new
can anyone help out????

Start by double checking ALL jumper settings on the motherboard.

Then, make sure that your CPU fan is running properly.

Next, make sure that the video card is fully seated in it's slot.

For an AGP card, it only needs to be a few thousandthsof an inch out of the slot to stop working.

Does the CRT go blank, or does the PC shut off?

If the PC shuts off, you may have a problem with your CPU fan not sending a RPM signal to the motherboard.
You can check this by entering the PC health section of BIOS setup, and disabling the CPU fan monitor.

fans are ok and i have checked jumpers and vid card there is no display on crt

Sometimes you have to unplug the PS to reinitialize the MB and BIOS CPU detection.
