How do you add to the DNS entries to make an internet site accessible without the www in the front of the url?

first create the host that has the www in it. http://www.yoursite.com, then create an alias that points to the host http://www.yoursite.com.

      yoursite.com alias to http://www.yoursite.com

then, type in yoursite.com, or whatever you want it to be called in your webbrowser, and the alias will redirect the request to the correct host.

      Hope this helps.

      That’s call an alias name.
First you need to define the full url with http://www.mysite.com and then define a new one as mysite.com (or somesite.com) alias http://www.mysite.com.
