Non Graphic Printing Problem on Network

Problem of Non Graphic/Dos based Printing on Network Printer in Windows NT. If I am sending said printing on network printer the required document or report the network printer not prints.

DOS apps try to write directly to LPT1. You may need to edit your login script with:

net use lpt1 \\%computername%\printername

to enable DOS apps to print.

Using The "Net Use" Statement is the answer. You can run it from a batch file when needed or include it in your logon script. NT in dos mode wants to print to the LPT1 port and has no way to "Capture printer port" like Win95/98 which allows you to send dos print jobs to a remote network printer. Your problems are over..
