Could be alot of things. Can't really tell from the info you have given. What are the machine specs (type, cpu, memory etc)? What is the operating system (win98, me, 2k, xp)?

Do you have auto update turned on and have new updates been installed recently?

Have you installed any new software recently? Any new hardware?

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Norton Utilities?

Post back with some additional info.

Cheers.

If your OS is WinXP, then you probably installed SP2. Norton Utilities probably doesn't work with SP2. Have a look on the symantec HP for patches.

Norton Update (Free Trial) has expired so i no longer use this feature. The PC is a unbranded home built Midi Tower PC. I have tried once before uninstalling Norton Utilities 2000 but the same problem came up again.

Thanks :)

OK,
A "page fault" means this : the CPU reads a "page" from the hard disk into main memory. When the main memory has finished with the page, it reads that page back into the hard drive and fetches another page. Therefore, either 1 of 2 things occurs:
1) The hard disk is full, and when the CPU tries to store the page back, there isn't enough space.
2) You don't have enough RAM to store a full page from the hard disk.
If you have enough HD space, you need more RAM. You have a kernel DLL (dynamic link library) error, so add more memory, probably in RAM. Paging refers to the transfer of a "page" from the hard disk to main memory. Get more RAM.
John
