NT 4.0 vs. RICOH MP6200S CD-Writer

By jimmy.jones@cityofhouston ·
Any tips or advice on how to get these two to work together. Windows NT is supposed to use the sparrow.sys to load the PE Logic ISA SCSI Board which the "writer" is attached to on boot at startup. I can get the Writer to work from DOS but NT will not load the sparrow.sys driver or recognize the Writer. Unfortunatley, I inherited this system and these are older Compaq 6000 Prof. Workstations with absolutely no software...
Thanks,
JLJ

NT 4.0 vs. RICOH MP6200S CD-Writer

by rogdotcom In reply to NT 4.0 vs. RICOH MP6200S ...

I tried to get the exact same device (Ricoh MP6200) to work on NT 4 about a year ago and believe me I really tried, checked with vendor for newer drivers etc etc, I just could not get it to work, resorted to installing the burner on a networked desktop running W98. Only advice I have is use W98, sorry.
