NT Not able to register Modem

By dennisbv ·
I have lost contact with my moden on a Windows NT workstation. I removed RAS and tryed to reinstall but not I get the message
"Windows NT was unable to register the modem "Creative Modem Blaster Flash56 DE5620-2" on Com1 " That is the correct modem it is on Com1, I even tryed it as a generic Modem. I used the modem yesterday and later I installed a external Parralell zip drive(I don't know if that could cause it) What is up?

Your Zip drive may have taken the COM1 resource. Try going into the BIOS and enabling your second COM or Serial device and then try to reinstall the modem. Let me know if that works.
