on the nt machine, create a local user the same as the xp is using.

For example, if the xp user is: John Doe, Password: jd .... on the nt machine, create user:John Doe, password: jd , never expire.

It will never ask for user / password again unless username changes.

Or you could enable the guest account (not recommended due to hackers and malicious virii)

Additionally to what the person above was saying. You could setup a share on the nt machine and then from the xp machine set it to map the drive and reconnect at login. With XP, the account would not have to be the same on the nt server since it allows the shared drive to be mapped with the properties of another user (this saves you from having to create any unnecessary usernames,etc.). Just another way of doing it, plsu you'll have a mapped drive to the server in case that person wants to store or pull anything from the server.

Again, this in addition to what was already stated.

Good luck..
