NT Printer Audit

By rohmranch ·
When I audit for printers, I would like to know how many pages have been printed from a client machine on any given job. NT audits everything in an acceptable manner BUT the pages printed. Audit reports "0" pages. Am I missing a setup or toggle procedure to view the amount of pages printed?

You can view the number of pages and all of the other information in the event viewer system log. There may be a better way to assess total pages from a particular user or workstation, but I usually go to the print server, open the system log and then filter by source (Printer) and user (username). This provides a list of documents they have printed, the printer they used, number of pages, etc. on a per-job basis. Are you viewing the audit info somewhere else? Hope this helps.
