NT Security

I have file/print sharing turned on win98. I am NT admin with full rights. When another admin logons to network it lists \\myuserid as authentication.

What's up?

Windows 98 does not offer security offered by NT and will logon to network from cache or workgroups created by print and file sharing.

If you want a more secure network you need to use NT only on all your computers.

For real security use NT as the print spooler. Be sure to check off the other windows varients that will share the printer. Only use 98 as a client.
