NT4.0 Max Memory

By GAROS ·
What is the maximum memory NT4 Server will support? I want to deploy 4 GB on a host and prefer not to use Win2K yet. Will I have to use NT Enterprise?

Even NT 3.51 Workstation supported up to 4GB of RAM, so if your MB supports 4GB, you'll be OK.

The maximum amount of memory NT Server 4 supports is 4GB, physical RAM and virtual memory combined. By default, NT Server only allocates 2GB of memory for user processes and 2GB of memory for the operating system. In NT 4 Server, Enterprise, you can make a modification that will allocate 3GB of memory of user applications and only 1GB of memory for the operating system. Here's a link, hope this helps.

Yes NT 4 support 4GB of physical memory.
NT 4 Enterprise provide better management for these 4GB of RAM .
