NTFS Partition Disappeared

By raghu ·
Dear sir,
I have a windows Nt 4.0 server installed on pIII system with 128 mb of Ram. Its boot sector was infected with some virus and i cleaned it with Norton antivirus rescue disk. The HD was partitioned into c,d,e,f only c is FAT. and others areNTFS. After Cleaning it explorer does'nt show the drives d,e and f. I checked it in the disk manager utility also but not found . I have some valuable data in those drives. Please help me to rectify the problem. Windows nt is still booting properly.Fyi The same thing happened to my friend when he was trying to load win NT on an existing NT machine by keeping the D drive

Have you tried FDISK /MBR this may help, make sure you have a bootable disk so you can sys c: drive if needed.

The cleaning of the HD could somehow affect the partition table. You could try plug this HD to another PC running NT to see if it can recognize all the partitions on it.

Good luck
