very simple for some, having up-graded to win2000,where do you go to make a start-up disk, cause with winMe i use to have to install at least once a month, cant help trying to speed things up and tweak this and overclock that, also can you dual boot with linux(0n win2000),i did it once with win98,that cause a clean install
so if you can--I'll be back!

Not sure about the dual boot question, but in win2k (and NT) the startup disk is known as the emergency repair disk. select start \ run and type ntbackup, the inbuilt backup app will open. On the front screen theoir is an option to create an ERD.

ERD: My Computer --> Properties --> Add Software (or something like that)
There is a choice to build a boot disk. However, I prefer to make my own with "format /s" and add the DOS drivers for my CD-ROM, and so on.

Dual-Boot: I recommend using a utility like System Commander for dual (triple, etc.) booting. This is especially important for managing radically different O/Ses (Windoze/Linux/Solaris). Bonus: You can also use this approach to dual boot among similar O/Ses, especially those versions that would insist on overwriting a previous "version", such as 98 and (shudder) ME.
