Office 2000 & Excel 5

By Kevin Anderson ·
Is there a utility that would allow Excel 5 to open spreadsheets created by Excel 2000? I do not have the option of SAVE AS to the lower version, because the files are coming from an outside source.

Even a conversion utility program that could be ran on the file would be fine.

Thanks.

Excel 2000 will allow you to save your documents as an Excel 5.0/95 document. Choose File-Save As and choose the drop-down box next to Save as Type:. You can then open the file in 5.0 and make changes/additions as usual.
