Hello I have a Ethernet Lan & server(250 stations) & DSL and an AS/400 locally. I want to set up a remote site about 20 miles away(with 25 stations) that uses the same software and applications as locally. Any suggestions?? Type of Comm Line? Type of hardware for the interface? Thanks

Connectivity to the AS/400 I would use leased lines (56k or DSL). As for the software I take it you don't want to have to buy it for the second site? There are ways to do that however it's going to be a lot cheaper to just but the software.

You could look into Citrix Metaframe XP. It is a terminal program. which runs on top of whatever OS you have for a server. I would suggest getting a second server and OS for this option. Buying hardware and software for the second site would be cheaper, but you need to ask yourself "Do I want to drive out there every time someone has a little problem?" Citrix even has WISE terminals that are relatively maintenance free for use at the remote site instead of buying them all PC's.
