OK who broke TR today?

The 404 seem to be accepted as normal these days they just happen so often but this is something new for me at least.

Open a discussion from one of the Blogs and then click on the link to the Blog to get your Browser to restart. I first ran across this while doing some testing on the 64 Bit version of 7 and thought hello another glitch so I switched to the 32 Bit version found the same thing happened and then I moved to a XP workstation had had the same thing occur so it’s not a 7 Problem it has to be a TR Issue.

This is happening with both Infernal Exploder 7 and FF3 on XP as well as Infernal Exploder 8 and FF3 on 7.

So who’s responsible for this interesting new development?

nothing to do with the password harvester that I installed today, nice to have your password.

And thanks to all for inadvertently supplying your password, I did not realize that it would cause 404 errors so I have removed my hack ware so you may surf TR unmolested for the rest of the night, sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

I will be upgrading my password software and in the next version I hope to avoid any 404 errors.

but I’ve been getting page load errors all day. Takes two or three refreshes to get the page to load. Also, I had to find a back way into My Workspace just now.

You’d better leave those freaking airlock doors closed. You’re really gumming up the works. 😀

Been unable to get in for the last 10ish minutes. Yes, my cache and cookies are cleared, I do it once a week.

The Shutting down Browsers completely is something new.

Right at the moment I can not get into TROLOV no matter what I try. 🙁

Every time that I try a link of any description the Browser closes. Looks like I’m going to miss my weekly fix. :_|

The database is experiencing contention, and we’re trying to identify the cause. None of the usual suspects apply.

We’ll most likely need to restart it to apply some changes, so expect some downtime.

I have considered cancelling newsletters

more than half of the links are not working. I thought it would be fixed by now and wouldn’t you know it I thought there was a link that used to be in the newsletters for these kind of problems but I couldn’t find it (of course it wouldn’t work anyway). I found this posting after several searches from the main page.

Well if all you want to do is change your Newsletter Subscription

Click on My Newsletters on the top right of the screen and tick what you want or untick what you no longer need.

OK the changes when you have finished and generally speaking within 2 Business Days you stop receiving any newsletters that you chose to unsubscribe from. New newsletters that you subscribe to are delivered on the same day usually speaking or when they are next issued.

That is one thing that seems to work quite well on TR.

But it doesn’t usually last long. They’ve been constantly tweaking things on the site, particularly in the forums, from what I can tell. Suddenly, emoticons in post titles are replaced by the emoticon name, for example. (Oddity or permanent change, I don’t know, but it happened before my very eyes.)

simply clearing ones cache and cookies resolves the issue of links in the TR newsletters not redirecting properly. Have you tried that yet?
