Operating Systems on PS3

Hi

I was wondering if i was able to plug a USB flash drive into the PS3 with an Operating System such as Backtrack 3 on it and run it. I would try this but then i dont know what it would do to the PS3 afterwoulds.

As long as it's a memory resident OS it shouldn't really matter. Such as BartPE it does not load or write anything onto the HDD.

Hello i installed yellow dog onto my playstation 3, without any problems to the console, might want to check yellow dog out.

I have heard that people have installed this software to it but im not looking to actually install just use like a live version that is already installed on a thumb drive

I'm not sure how flexible the PS3 hypervisor is. Have you checkout places like ps3fanboy? If it can be done, folks at those sites would know.

I have installed Yelow Dog linux on my PS3... Just because I could....
