What is the code?

by ThumbsUp2 In reply to optiplex wont go past scr ...

Codes are usually repetitive and the pattern means something. Without telling us WHAT code you're getting, we can only guess as to the cause.

So, please describe the code.

memory

by simonribansky In reply to also

try to remove one of the memory sticks and see if it runs then (this way youll knw that the one removed was faulty), if not try to put the other one in its place, do the same on the second slot.

if none work it COULD mean that both sticks are fried but it is not necessarily the case.

what where you doing when the problem first came up?

Long continuous beep

by Mr.Wiz In reply to code

usually means no memory or bad memory installed.
