Oracle9i on Solaris 8 on intel

I am trying to install Oracle9i on Solaris 8 10/00 on intel machine.
When I run the ./runInstaller script I get the following error :
./runInstaller: syntax error at line 1: '1' unexpected

Is it really possible to install oracle9i on INTEL solaris?????
Please guide me.

I believe you could only install Oracle 9i Application server on Solaris Intel box. The Oracle 9i Database are only available on Sparc boxes.

Yes, it is possible if yours is the Oracle CD that comes with the Solaris Intel package.
You have to reconfigure the cernel.
