Outlook 2000 client for Exchange 5.5

By Bhrdwh ·
Hi, I have a Exchange 5.5 server & Mdeamon 2.8 Mail Server that we use for sending / receiving emails. The client we use is Inbox tool (Exchnage Client 5.0) as of now. We installed Office 2000 on client systems, that removed Inbox (Exchange Client 5.0) & instead installed Outlook 2000.
NOW HOW DO I INSTALL & CONFIGURE client systems to get/send mails for Exchange 5.5 Server as well as Internet Mail Servers (like MDaemon that uses Internet Mail).

Hello,

Within Outlook, go to Tools, Services. You can add multiple services - namely Microsoft Exchange Server & Internet Mail Services.

Melody

akashdeep_b,

To get client workstations working with Outlook 2000 (O2k) connecting to Exchange 5.5 and Internet mailservers, follow the steps below:

1. Launch O2k and select corporate e-mail
2. Complete the client config to access Exchange3. While logged into O2k and connected to your Exchange server, go the Tools menu and select Services
4. Add an Internet e-mail connection
5. Configure the client accordingly for POP/IMAP/etc.

Good luck.
