Outlook Custom Form

By Jim.Johannsen ·
I have created a new contacts form and have converted the previous contacts to the new form but I can't get the Outlook Contacts Folder to recognize the new form that is to be used for new Contacts.

I have right clicked Properties and "When posting use - " but the new form name doesn't appear to be available. Somehow when I published the form, it does not appear in "Personal Forms Library" and when I try to republish I get a "Unable to successfully publish the form due to a MAPI error."

Any suggestions?

Are you connected to an Exchange server and have perhaps published the form up to that as opposed to your own Personal Forms?
You could use the Tools, Options - Manage Forms area of Outlook to see if you can find your form in there.
Sometimes worth deleting the form and then copying over again so Outlook can install it again the first time it is accessed.

Don't have a "Manage Forms" under Tools, Options.

You can right click your inbox and click Properties. Click on the Forms tab and click Manage to see what forms are out there and where they are stored.

I think there is a known issue with assiciating custom forms with new and existing Outlook folders. You can start here for more info: http://tinyurl.com/fye5.

There is no Forms tab nor can I find a "Manage" when I right click the inbox and properties.
