Hi,

I faced the same problem. What I did is, open the email which is stuck in the outbox and click on send once again and then do send/receive. The email will then go to sent items. You will have to follow this procedure for each email stuck in the outbox.

Check this knowledge base as it might help you http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262052/en-us.
Also if you want to delete the messages then
Go to Tools, Options and under the General tab uncheck Send and receive messages at startup.
This will cause Outlook Express not to send the problem message and give you the opportunity to delete it.

by fdianko2 In reply to Outlook express Emails st ...

hello! exit from outlook express. if your OS is win xp, go to start, and click on search. Search your hard drive for Outbox.dbx and delete this file. Restart Outlook Express. A new empty outbox folder is created automatically. you will see that you have no more items in your outbox. Hope this helps

Microsoft's solution for emails stuck in Outlook Express outbox

by oszkar.horvath In reply to Outlook express Emails st ...

This is the appropriate knowledge base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262052

It suggests to delete outbox.dbx (in another source someone also said to delete sent-items.dbx), OR if that doesn't help, create a new Identity and if that works, just import your old messages from the old identity before removing it.
