Outlook Express Local Folders

By VKts ·
I am using IE5 and outlook express for my e-mail both at work and at home.
At work on a desktop.
At home and on my travels on a laptop.
I am trying to find a way to synchronize both local folders so as to have all my e-mail on both computers.

You can set up your accounts under the tab "advanced" to leave a copy of your messages on the server. This way you download your mail on each PC. As far as i know the only other way to synchronize data between pcs is to copy the *.pst files from onepc to the other, This can be erratic though, as you'll overwrite the data on one pc that way.

One primitive method (but it works, I've done it :-) ) is to set-up a second email account and forward all incoming mail to that accout. All outgoing mail should have your other account attached to the BCC: field, which stands for Carbon Copy. Depending on the volume of your email, though, this might be totally impractical.
