Outlook recipients exceeds the limit

By estinct ·
A).I am using Office 97, Outlook.
can I expand the upper limit in the configuration for sending out e-mail? Whenever I want to send information to groups of people, the system says that the number of recipients exceeds the limits of the system. It would really help if I can create a group and/or type in individual names and capture everyone in one message.
How can I create a group also?

B). I have NT WS 4.0. Can someone tell me step by step on how to install network printer and network scanner?

Susan, First, this kind of depends on the version of Outlook you are using. I am hoping that you are using Outlook98. If you are not, i would highly consider upgrading to it. it was a free upgrade from microsoft. Second, Outlook 97 and 98 contacts do directly support Distribution Lists like prevously suggested, if you have mapped an old PAB (Personal Address Book) you can create a Distribution list like described in the previous answer. If you are not, and i would not suggest using a PAB you can do what you are looking for in a round about fashion. Fist, Assign the contacts that you want in the distribution list to a specific CATEGORY from within the contact. Look at the bottom of the individual contact, you will see Category, and you can create your own categories if you don't like the ones you see there. Then to send a message to that group of people, or category, click on View, Current View, View by Category. Find the category of people that you want to send to, and click on their header (The G

A) You can easily create a personal address book, it works just fine. As the first answer says, open up your address book, and click file>new, then select personal distribution list, and click OK. Next, name your distribution list and add recipientsto it. If some of your recipients are not part of your email system, you will need to create each one as an entry in your personal address book before you can add them to your personal distribution list. These entries are stored on your hard drive in a file with the .pab extension, so if you ever reformat your hard drive, remember to save that file along with any personal folder or archive files.
B) Depends if you want to manage the printer from your NT workstation or just use a printer that is already shared on the network. If your printer is already shared on the network, go through the add printer process and add the printer just like you would with NT. If you want your NT workstation to manage the printer, then you will need to createa port for that prin

1. after opening the outlook, go to addressbook
2. then a new window will appear which has a "NEW" button.
3. click on that button and there are three choices one of them is new group
4. a new window will come up and write the group name anythingyou want
5. then click on "SELECT MEMEBERS" button.
6. and choose every one who you want to send that message to
7. then say "OK" and you will see a new group created in your address book which is called what you put as a name.
8. double clickit and write the whole message and send
9. it will send to every body in that group.
that's all.
