partitioning HDD with 2 different OS's

By g.capern ·
How can I partition an HDD with 2 OS's eg. DOS6.22 and Win98 and give the operator the choice at power up as to which environment they would like to work in. I expect that the PC needs to be restarted before the user could change to the other OS.
Cheers

Partition Magic has a very handy tool cool Boot Magic. If you have any number of OS's installed you can select to boot of Boot magic and then choose your OS from there.

To dual-boot the two operating systems you suggest, you don't even need third-party software such as Partition Magic. Both operating systems can exist in the same partition (as long as it is FAT 16). Install DOS first, then Windows 98. To switch between them, you could either use a DOS boot disk or the Windows 98 startup menu. To access this menu, press "F8" immediately after the "post test" and choose "Previous version of DOS" from the menu.
