passwords

we are running windows NT 4 every thing was running fine untill this morning when no one could log on, I check the switches, we have pinged ip addresses even did ipconfig and all came up fine
I could logon to server at the server itself as admin.but when I tried to log on from a different computer the server would not recognise any passwords.
all passwords are correct.
can anyone help as this is the first time i have come across this

Hi Stephen,

You could check that both the server and the netlogon services are started and running ok. Also check in Event Viewer to see any system messages.

Also check in user manager Account policy. Disable <User must logon in order to change password> and check all the others options.

Check if netlogon service is running, also try to synchronize the entire domain from your PDC..make sure you have the latest service pack (SP6) and re-install it, sometimes this will take care of the problem.

Check the User Rights in User Manager for Domains. Make sure that Authenticated Users have the right to Access This Computer From The Network.
