PC shuts down during install of XP

I am re-installing Windows XP on an e-machine computer. During the install process, the computer just shuts down. Poof! What could the problem be?

The 2 obvious problems are

Either a Faulty M'Board or a bad Power Supply. Either of these will cause the problem but the M'Board is the most likely culprit.

If you want to do a full test of your hardware get a copy of the Ultimate Boot CD and test all of the hardware it's available here

I'd say it is either MB or the power supply.

Just for fun, go in to the BIOS and check the power supply voltages, if the BIOS provides this feature. Honestly, eMachines use cheap, low-grade components and I've worked on several that had bad power supplies or a bad motherboard. One had both bad.
