Permanant Deletion of internet history

Hi,till now I have been deleting the history of sites I visited by the traditional way(in IE,Tools->Internet Options->Delete Cookies & Clear History.But my friends told me that any Computer genius may easily know which sites I had been visiting through Windows registry.Can any of you tell me which is the way to see the internet history(even if it was cleared in the popular clear history method) through Windows registry & what is the way to delete the internet permanantly.Is there any fee software avilable for this purpose?

The only way to be sure is

to wipe your HDD using software that is designed to adhere to appropriate standards.

Hence, it will write over the drive using 0 & 1 between 7 & 35 times depending on the level you wish to use. This could take days, depending on the size of the hard drive.

This will only remove the information from the hard disk, you will probably need to enlist a group of terrorists to remove your the information stored on servers and their appropiate mirrors that store your public IP address as broadcast by you ISP and the cookies that refer your IP and/or email addresses.
