Persistent Network Drive Mappings

By Monterey ·
I'm running NT 4.0 and I can't stop it from mapping to previously connected network drives. I mapped previously to a drive and disconnected it. Now every hour or two I'll look and all the available drives are connected to the network. Can someonetell me where to get rid of this nuisance?

At the command prompt type NET USE /DELETE
and manually map the drives again.

Good Luck!

The other answers are correct, but it seems you did that, but through the GUI. You might check your registry. Look in HKEY_CURRENT_USER under the Network key, where you'll see a list of drive letters, and their configuration. If the ones that youspeak of are in there, delete them. As always, backup the registry before making any changes.

If you have FindFast on the machine it could be causing the problem. To fix it delete the indexes for all drives then stop and close FindFast.
