Port 389 not responding

Hi,

While installing "Cognos Impromptu 7.1 Admin" installation: "SUN ONE Directory server", which is one of the prerequisties for the same, am getting Directory Sever port:389 not responding error.

I belive this port is related to LDAP. Ours is a Windows 2000 domain network and the installation is being performed on a Win2k Pof. client.

Can anybody tell me how to get this port respond.

389 is LDAP. Most likely, 389 port is responding just fine, it is that Cognos is expecting something different. Check the documentation for compatibility with Active Directory LDAP.
