PowerPoint 2000 Web Presentation

By jkloss ·
Over a 56K connection, my slideshow graphics do not keep up with my slide transitions. Each slide is set to change after 10 seconds and the browser doesn't pre-load the next slide.

Is there any way in the scripting language to force the next slide to preload while viewing the current slide?

You can ad a standard preload image script to each file. These can be found on almost any javascript site.

Why do you need the 10 second change? I would suspect most of your viewers would rather click next when they are ready. At least I would. You might want to consider getting rid of any automatic slide transistion before you save it to the web.

I could provide you the psudocode.

void main() {
CurrentSlideHolder = CurrentSlide;
NextSlideHolder = NextSlide;
Do {
Display (CurrentSlideHolder);
sleep(10);
} while (true);
}

void Display(Slide){
Slide.Show;
CurrentSlideHolder = NextSlideHolder;
NextSlideHolder = NextSlide + 1;
}
