Preventing IP, File or Folder access from VPN connections

By dave ·
I use a Cisco Pix 506 and a certificate server for remote users to access my LAN. They are unable to browse the LAN over the VPN connection by navigating through "network neighborhood" for example, which is fine. Normally I have them enter the IP of the appropriate server on the LAN to get to the needed files and folders (which asks for their active directory login at that time)

Problem is, if they are PC savvy, they can enter the IP of the domain controller (single domain controller with active directory) and browse a few of the drives, files and folders which they don't need access to. I still need them to access the domain controller but ONLY to authenticate to Active Directory.

Does anybody have a good solution or documentation you can point me to in order to prevent unwanted access?

Thanks;

D
