primary defect list for SCSI

By alex ·
I`ve installed the SCSI Explorer utility on my new NT Server, and now I see about 20 bad sectors in "primary defect list" for each of two SCSI drives. Is it normal for 20 Gb SCSI?

I have found that most Drives IDE and SCSI out of the box has defects, I have never researched it but it usually it is in the 5%-8% range of the drives size. For example, you install a 40gb IDE it shows up perfect in BIOS, but when the operating systems takes over it shows as 38.5 or 39gb, I have also noticed that SCSI have a bigger % of bad sectors. To sum it all up, it is very common to have that fresh out of the box, those drives are fine.
