PRINT OVER TCP VS PRINTSERVER

hI,I have always have my users printing via print server (windows server) and only in few ocacions i have had them printing directly using print over TCP, also know as IP Printing.

Our company just got bought out by a big corporation and they use always print over tcp.

I manage 18 offices each one with a windows server, the biggest one has 50 users and around 10 printers, the smallest one 3 users and 2 printer.

Can someone point me to an url or tell some printing over tcp VS print server points?
What is the standard.

Advantages of IP Printing:
1. No server required
2. OK if only user is using printer

Disadvantages of IP printing:
1. Need admin privileges to set up printer driver
2. IF IP address changes or printer model changes then driver needs changing on every desktop.
3. Documents can be mixed up on printer as no queuing is involved. Possible doc print corruption possible

Advantages of Server Print Queues:
1. Documents queued from multiple users and managable
2. Driver only on server only needs changing if printer or IP address changes. Drivers on desktop will auto update
3. Server may have more disk space for large documents.
4. No chance of corruption if people print at same time
5. Driver can be distributed using login scripts to appropiate users. No admin rights required to connect to printer.

Disadvantages:
1. Server required. XP can be used if <10 people access/connect to printer concurrently.

What if the server crash? you are in trouble, that should be a Disadvantage, do you know what Microsoft says about this matter?
