Printer port not available

By choy.waigiat ·
When I install a printer, the option to choose "LPT1: Printer Port" is not available. I check in Device Manager, under PORTS, the ECP Printer Port is working. I'm using WIN95.

Anyone can help?

thanks and regards,

In the System icon in the control panel, remove the Port Lpt1.

Then reboot the computer so that it reloads the driver for the lpt1 port.

If that does not work, try changing the ECP port to a standard lpt port in the bios.
