Printer Problem

By Shanghai Sam ·
I had my printer connected to my scanner and the scanner is connected to my computer. Recently I received another computer HP and I connected the scanner and printer the same way I had it before. Now at times the printer will not work and at times it will. I would like to know what can I do to have my printer print all the time.

Try checking for the latest drivers for the scanner and printer, if all else fails then buy a second parallel port on a PCI card.

Try -click on start Start, Settings, Printers - right click on printer driver -select Properties, Details,Spool Settings -and change Spool Data Format to RAW.

You might also try going into your CMOS settings and change the printer port to standard-actual name depends on which BIOS you are using.
